Hydrocele or abnormal collection of fluid in the scrotum, a lining of the testicle or along the vas deferens.It most often appears in infant boys and elderly men. In infants hydroceles have a for of congenital abnormality. In the elderly they develop from trauma, inflammation or infection which causes blockage of blood or fluid. It can be associated with an inguinal hernia.

Anamnesis will be taken and medical examination will be done. Diagnosis may be confirmed by ultrasound.

Treatment includes: aspiration, aspiration and injection of sclerosing agents, or surgery. Sometimes no treatment is required.
